Umami Analytics

The older version of my site used Google Analytics (via Monster Insights Wordpress plugin). Figure I’ve given enough free data to Google over the years and wanted to try something else.

Enter Umami. Its similar to what I got out of Google Analytics, but is more privacy friendly. It doesn’t use any cookies, and set up is just pasting a single javascript include into a header template.

My usage currently fits into Umami’s free Hobby plan and probably will for ever. If ever grow beyond that, $20/month for a million events seems pretty reasonable.
