Shredded

The Mrs got to work yesterday morning and said the TPMS light came on in her car just as she parked at work. Oh goody.

I had her do a quick visual inspection and she none of the tires look flat. So, I said take it easy on the way home, we don’t want any blowouts on the highway.

I knew already that her tires were ripe for replacement. 2 are actually original to her 9 year old car. 41k miles, with most being in the harsh AZ desert climate. The other 2 tires are a few years younger; they were replaced after a fatal puncture in the shoulder of one the other original tires.

Anywho, the Mrs got home without any drama thankfully. Let me just take a quick peek. Yikes!

Wow, that’s scary bad. The threadborn part has to be something kinda sudden. The car was in for an oil change a few weeks ago and they said tires were ready for replacement, but not critical yet.

Anywho, new tires were already on the plan. So, off to Walmart for some new Goodyears. $500 out the door (with road hazard insurance) almost seams reasonable, I guess. 💸
