Liquid Detected

… in the lightning connector on my phone. Yes, my iPhone is old enough to still have a lightning connector. Sigh.

I noticed my battery was mostly dead at 5pm so I plugged into my mac for a quick top up before heading out with the kiddos. I checked on it at 6pm and it says that charging was stopped because “liquid was detected in the lightning connector.”

Don’t know what was about, it didn’t throw the error when I plugged it in. There were no liquids anywhere near where the phone was on my desk. The lightning connector itself hasn’t been locking in reliably as of late, so that might be related.

Hmm, maybe its time to cancel that planned battery replacement and start thinking about an entire phone replacement?
