Fraud Trigger

The mrs. got a text and email from our bank saying they think a recent charge for Amazon Prime subscription was fraud. Unclear why. We buy lots of stuff from Amazon all the time, so it wasn’t out of routine for frequency or amount.

The related messaging looked pretty legit, but you can’t be too careful these days. So, we called the number on the card and let them know that it was indeed a valid charge. The agent noted it and said that it won’t be bounced again when Amazon retries the charge.

Agent said that Amazon will most likely retry automatically and we won’t have to follow up with them. I hopeful that they will, but guessing I’ll have to reach out to them when they don’t. Sigh.
