Always the bridesmaid...

… never the bride.  So, on my 4th jury duty summons, I had to show up, waited 2.5 hours, and then got dismissed.  Whatever legal wrangling happened between the judge and two teams before they called us into the courtroom removed the need for a jury. The judge thanked us for our time, said we were now exempt for service for the next ten years (non-fed cases only), and invited the jury pool to stay to watch the proceedings; I’m pretty sure everyone else like me made a quick exit.
